Lone Star Oncology and American Oncology Network Welcome New Board-Certified Physician to Care Team

Dr. Sabbagh brings over 20 years of experience in treating various cancer types.
 

GEORGETOWN, Texas, April 29, 2024 –  Lone Star Oncology and American Oncology Network (AON) (Nasdaq: AONC), a rapidly growing national network of community-based oncology practices, is pleased to announce M. Hassan Sabbagh, MD, has joined the practice’s physician team and is accepting new patients.

Dr. Sabbagh is a Board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist who has been practicing for over 20 years in Texas. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Damascus University.

M. Hassan Sabbagh, MDUpon graduating, he completed an internal medicine internship and residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, New York. He then finished a hematology-oncology fellowship at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Lone Star Oncology opened in June 2023 and joined AON simultaneously. The practice is led by Dr. Shimkus and his care team.

It is a community-based oncology and hematology practice specializing in treating patients diagnosed with cancers and blood disorders. Through its partnership with AON, it has expanded its patient services to include infusion therapy, centralized laboratory and pathology, oral cancer medication delivery, and financial counseling, among other benefits.
